Ladoga, March 20 James Powers, 71 years old, d. at his home here at 10 o'clock yesterday morning of the effects of a stroke of paralysis suffered last Thurs. Mr. Powers was b. in Bath Co, KY in 1851. 46 years ago, he marr. Miss Emily FRISBY. For the last 20 years they and their family have lived in Ladoga. Surviving the decedent are his wife; 7 children, Mrs. Lizzie STUFF; Alvin Powers; Mrs. Myrtle LONG; Howard Powers and Mrs. Beatrice TRUMP all of Ladoga; Turner Powers of New Market; and Mrs. Ella LONG of Michigan; one brother, RObert Powers of Ky. and one sister, Mrs. Evelyn SHROUT of Ladoga. Mr. Powers was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church. He had been a Mason for 50 years and was a member of the Ladoga Blue Lodge. Fun. Services and Masonic rites will be held Mon. afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Ladoga Christian Church. Interment will be made in the Ladoga Cemetery
